A beautiful place once again

Divided it stands, your world, O Lord today
Shattered and torn, amidst war and death
The world and everything you lovingly created
has lost is sense, would near its end

Violence feeds the minds of young men
Babies learn to loathe no sooner they are born,
Is this the world that the coming generation would see
Where no goodness would come, of all that in known

Call us together, unite us, fetch us
To make a world, complete and full of your love
Where shouts of joy echo the tranquil air
Where peace would prevail till the end of time

Heal every sorrow, no tear would ever flow
Make this world, beautiful once again
Bring a smile, a cheer in every forlorn heart
Make this world, a better place once again

Give us a heart that understands and cares
That feels the pain of our brothers in vain
Make us humble that we may not stumble
When pride and prejudice heads its own ways

Unfold the hatred that blinds us today
Of racism and religion, splitting us apart
Bless, we may know, we are one in you
To share and give, the grace that comes from you

Call us together, unite us, fetch us
To make a world, that would be only thine
Where shouts of joy echoes the tranquil air
Where peace would prevail till the end of time

Heal every sorrow, no tear would ever flow
Make this world, beautiful once again
Bring a smile, a cheer in every forlorn heart
Make this world, a better place once again

Give us the strength to fight and strike
The terror of poverty and disease that scares upright
Comfort us, with the grace of your spirit
As we battle the loneliness that materialism breeds

In this world, where lust and greed overrules
May the truth dawn, only you forever reign
Give us the courage to refuse and reject
The temptations, money, power and fame wields

Call us together, unite us in your love
To make a world, that would be only thine
Where shouts of joy echo the tranquil air
Where peace would prevail till the end of time

Heal every sorrow, no tear would ever flow
Make this world, beautiful once again
Bring a smile, a cheer in every forlorn heart
Make this world, a better place once again
